Thanks once again to Krusell we have got hold of two cases for the HTC Magician which is probably best known as the I-Mate Jam. The Jam comes with a case included but it is hardly the most practical of cases as it requires you to remove the handset to use it; this is not true however with the offerings from Krusell so letÂ’s take a closer look.

The first of the two cases is similar in style to the Smartphone cases that we have previously reviewed in that it has a plastic front panel and a zip that holds the device with a very snug fit which is just what you want. The leather is of a high standard and, as always with products from Krusell, has holes cut in just the right places to allow for use of the camera and speakers/connectors etc., the holes are reinforced with a stitch too to ensure that the case lasts that bit longer.

Protection of the Pocket PCÂ’s screen is even more important than the protection of your SmartphoneÂ’s screen as it is more fragile being a touch screen, covering it with a thin plastic provides the protection required however it does hinder the performance of the stylus an touch screen slightly.

The second case is a more traditional Pocket PC case with a flap that folds over the front of the device thus protecting the screen. This does allow you to use the screen without any hindrance but does require you to pull back the flap to use the phone, it does provide added protection though when closed and so might be a wise choice for those of you that require that bit more protection. The flap doubles as a memory card holder which is a nice touch as it allows you to carry multiple cards without the fear of them getting damaged or lost. Once again all of the main interactive parts of the phone correspond to a cut-out in the case so that you can use all of the phoneÂ’s features whist in the case, for example a popper on the back exposes two holes so that you can use the phoneÂ’s camera and self-portrait mirror.

Both cases make use of KrusellÂ’s multidapt clip on their backs so you can use them in your car, on your belt, round your neck as well as in many other places! The inter-changeable clips are a great touch and provide that added function that make the Krusell cases a great choice, I use the car holder for GPS an it is great!

Both are a very tight fit which is great news as it means that neither add to much bulk to the size of the phone which is of course one of the selling points of the Jam itself. Krusell cases come with a Lifetime Warranty which is great piece of mind, IÂ’m sure youÂ’ll agree!

So would I recommend the Krusell cases for your I-Mate Jam? In a word Yes. They are very well made and not only protect your new phone but also allow you to mount the phone in your car which is great for using satellite navigation systems on your device.

Priced at £14.95 for the flip case and £12.95 for the plastic fronted version they are well worth the money so if you like what you see then click here to buy your case(s)!
