Fancy yourself as a real life James Bond? Perhaps you're just a nosey neighbour? Either way software developers Retina-X Studios have announced the release of Mobile Spy v2.0, an application for Windows Mobile and Symbian smartphones that allows you to monitor both text messages and voice calls made on a phone in real time online! The ethics of such an application have to be questioned I guess but whether you're for or against such an application there's no doubting that its an interesting release.
Press Release: Controversial Mobile Spy Software to Record SMS and Call Details Upgraded
Litchfield Park, Arizona - October 3rd, 2008 - Retina-X Studios, LLC, announced today the immediate availability of Mobile Spy v2.0, the controversial monitoring software for consumer smartphones. The software allows users to monitor SMS text and call details online in real time. The software is now available for Windows Mobile and Symbian OS smartphones. A version for the iPhone is currently in development for a December release.
Mobile Spy runs in total stealth mode and no entries are shown inside a phone's Task Manager. After the software is setup on the phone, it records all SMS text messages and call information. It then silently uploads logs to the user's private account which they check online without needing further access to the phone.
"Mobile Spy is a priceless piece of software. After having some doubts about honesty, this really helped set the record straight and confirmed my suspicions." says Reddick, a Mobile Spy user. Retina-X Studios CEO James Johns states "Texting has become the latest form of widespread communication. Parents can now watch over texting habits of their kids and employers can rest assured their employees are not giving out company secrets."
This exclusive system helps businesses enforce their Acceptable Use Policy on company provided phones. The software can also monitor teen or family phones. It gives a parent the ability to remotely monitor their child's text and call activities by logging into the web site. Another common use is to backup a user's own cell activity as a record of all important text conversations and calls.
Mobile Spy now runs on smartphones running the Windows Mobile or Symbian OS operating system. This includes Windows Mobile 2003, 2003 SE, 5.0 and 6.0 and Symbian OS 8.x and 9.x which are available from most major mobile carriers. The product can be found at www.mobile-spy.com.
