Here are our photos from the HTC Press Conference yesterday taken from the front row centre where they announced their Q4 2007 lineup which is made ...
There's no doubting the fact that satellite navigation has taken off nowadays, drive down any road tonight and you'll see an odd glow emanating from ...
OK so I've had my hands on a C500 for a whole day now and here's a quick list of key points that I feel are worthy of mention:
- New T9 predictive text which offers a drop-down menu of all possible words that can be made as well as the choice to add a word
- Windows Media Player plays videos in fullscreen!
- Favourites list in Windows Media player provides a playlist of sorts
- Camera refresh rate is faster than that of the SPV E200
- It really is small! Its really thin too!
- Keys are easily big enough for the average user
- Soft keys are illuminated contrary to rumours I've heard and the light sensor does indeed tell the phone when to turn on the keypad backlight (there's even an option in settings to turn the light sensor on and off!)
- New 'rocker style' joypad is a little quirky but i'm sure I'll get used to it
- It's light!
- The battery is a 1050mAh Li-Ion as opposed to the E200's 1000mAh, combine that with other improvements and the battery life rocks!
- Its fast! The new processor certainly keeps the phone ticking over nicely!
- Calls are clear, no buzzing!
- Currently Eclipse: First Wave DOESN'T play properly, the screen flickers and you can't move your ship! I'm sure this will have implications with other games too but I haven't tried any yet... (I've been informed that there is work going into fixing this already!)
- Joypad/stick is 4 way
- E200 OTA decert method WORKS!
I'll be writing a full review in the near future and possibly adding to this list soon so keep checking back!
