Palm standardizes Picsel PDF Viewer for Microsoft Windows Mobile based Treo Smartphone

GLASGOW, UK – January 4, 2006 – Picsel Technologies, a leading provider of solutions that enable intuitive interaction with rich content on small screen devices, today announced that it is to offer the innovative Picsel PDF Viewer on the first Palm® device to feature the Microsoft operating system – the Palm Treo™ 700w smartphone from Verizon Wireless running on Windows Mobile® 5.0.

The Palm Treo 700w will feature Picsel PDF Viewer as a standard native Adobe PDF viewing application. Picsel PDF Viewer addresses Treo smartphone usersÂ’ need for viewing content rich PDF documents on the device, offering the best solution on the market for native-viewing PDFs.

Picsel PDF Viewer allows users to seamlessly interact with PDF files on their smartphones, allowing users to perform mainstream PC functionality in the mobile environment. The PDF Viewer also offers files in their original richness, meaning recycled content is now a thing of the past.

The PDF Viewer is a subset of the popular File Viewer application which supports Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as PDF, plain text and image files.
