Rumours are rife about the iPhone with its first release being in the US on Friday (my birthday for anyone wanting to send me one!), however the European market has been waiting for an announcement regarding an operator. The latest seems to be that Vodafone will be the operator behind the European roll-out.
Should we really be interested in the iPhone though? The latest rumoured specifications leave a lot to be desired with no 3G, MMS, copy/paste facility, large OS footprint (700MB?!), Flash present on the phone but not supported by the web browser, a camera that takes pictures but wont record videos and average call quality!
Should the Windows Mobile platform be so worried about the iPhone after all? Despite all of the above the answer is still yes, Apple have a tendency to produce effective marketing and aesthetically attractive devices so of course people will buy them by the bucket load!

P.s. Beware the magic of the iPhone!
