Orange SPV M700 review delayed Print E-mail

OrangeLike our friends over at MoDaCo and CoolSmartphone, we've been left twiddling our thumbs with regards receiving an Orange SPV M700 to review. The thing is that the way that Orange PR handles websites like ourselves has changed and it would appear that their policy on review handsets has too. We've been offered what appears to be the standard 3 day loan of a device which simply isn't long enough to provide you, the reader with an accurate portrayal of the handset's good and bad points, many of which show their face through continued usage.

Odd you'd think considering we (and the other sites in the community) have no doubt influenced numerous sales of such devices through our reviews in the past (see here) and would also no doubt continue to do so, I guess it therefore begs the question why would Orange change their policy?

We will review the Orange SPV M700 at some point but sourcing handsets through personal contracts etc. isn't exactly ideal, especially when you consider that I wont be able (to afford!) to upgrade my contract every time a new device is released...

If you agree with us then please log in (or register first here) and post a comment stating your approval, who knows, maybe we'll be able to get some weight behind a reversal of policy?

EDIT: Full review now online, click here.
